TRAVEL

Venue & Neighborhood Guide

The CXC Critical Infrastructure Summit will take place at the LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy & Technology (CPET) at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas.

The greater Houston area is spread out, so we recommend renting a car or arranging transportation in advance. When choosing a hotel, consider both your preferred location and the daily drive to the Summit venue.

Getting Around

Houston-area traffic can vary significantly by time of day. Allow extra travel time during morning and evening commutes, and confirm parking and transportation arrangements with your hotel.

Where Should I Stay?

  • Pasadena / Deer Park: Best for convenience and a shorter commute. These areas offer practical business-travel hotels, restaurants, and easy access to major roads.

  • Clear Lake / Webster: A good option for attendees interested in visiting Space Center Houston or shopping and dining near Baybrook Mall.

  • Baytown: An option for attendees who prefer an upscale, full-service hotel with waterfront views and on-site amenities.

  • Seabrook / Kemah: Best for waterfront dining, entertainment, and exploring the Kemah Boardwalk after Summit hours. The commute may be longer, depending on traffic.

CXC has not secured a hotel room block at this time. Attendees are responsible for booking their own accommodations. We recommend reserving early and checking the driving route and estimated travel time before booking.

A Note About Staying in Downtown Houston

Downtown Houston offers a wide selection of hotels, restaurants, and nightlife, but it is generally less convenient for the Summit than staying closer to Pasadena. CPET is southeast of downtown, and the drive may take approximately 25–35 minutes in lighter traffic and 40–60 minutes or longer during peak commuting hours, depending on your hotel and route.

If you choose to stay downtown, plan for additional travel time each day. All driving times are estimates and may vary with traffic and weather.

Local Area Hotels

Pasadena / Deer Park

Closest to the venue; approximately 5–10 minutes away, depending on traffic and route.

Clear Lake / Webster

A good option for exploring the Clear Lake area; allow extra time for the commute to CPET.

Baytown

Best for an upscale, full-service hotel experience; allow extra time for the commute to CPET.

  • Hyatt Regency Baytown – Houston — A waterfront hotel with on-site dining, a bar, and views of the Houston Ship Channel and Fred Hartman Bridge. Consider this option if you prefer an elevated hotel experience with amenities available on-site. Visit the Hyatt website for hotel information and booking.

Seabrook / Kemah

Best for waterfront dining and entertainment near the Kemah Boardwalk; allow extra time for the commute.
