EOD Caucus Congressional Networking
CXC’s CEO, Dave Wulf, and Summer Fellows attended USBTA's top-flight "State of the EOD and Bomb Technician Community" event in July. The event included an opportunity to hear from members of the Congressional EOD Caucus USBTA members, showcasing a high level of understanding of issues of importance to the bomb-tech community and sharing insights on budget/appropriations priorities. During the event, CISA was a topic of interest to include the current Strategic Review and prioritization of activities.

CXC Insight: The White House’s National Resilience Strategy
The White House's new America-First Resilience Strategy contains many principles familiar to the critical infrastructure community, including shared responsibility and risk-informed resilience. All of which underscores the significance of the community that has come together within CXC to facilitate practical collaboration trusted relationships, and cross-sector security and resilience. More notably, the strategy signals a continued shift toward greater responsibility for states, local governments, communities, and the private sector in building national resilience. What could that mean for critical infrastructure owners and operators?
CXC Insight: Commenting on the FAA Proposed Section 2209 – Unmanned Aircraft Flight Restrictions
What you need to know:
The FAA has extended the Section 2209 Comment Period until August 5th.
The proposed rule would establish the process for eligible critical infrastructure facilities to request and maintain restrictions on unmanned aircraft (drone) operations over their sites.
